i first found this game from gloom, and its been one of my most loved and cherishes games of my childhood. It gave me a way to get out my internal thoughts and feeling by living vicariously (learned that word from noel when i was a kid) through Diya and her struggles to figure herself out. I have yet to play the sequel but i want to, maybe in that one Min Seo and Diya will have that doge dog they always wanted.

every time i had to stop reading i felt like a child having to put down his videogame. there's a sequel too! i feel blessed

ive loved this game since it came out and it got me through quarantine i hope to even get a tattoo based on this one day

I found this game out of nowhere while trying to find a different game, and I've seen a couple of comments saying this is a great game. but I'm still on the edge if I should play it.

You really should! I played this game when I was younger and browsing this site, it is such a beautiful game with diverse characters and backstories. I spent so many years after playing this game simply thinking about it. So if you're still on the fence about playing it, let this be the final push for you. Theres nothing to lose playing this game, if anything you'll gain from it.

alright, I'll check it out. after you said you found it out when you where younger I checked it's release date, it came out in 2017? I'm surprised I haven't found this game sooner to be honest.

Play it and don't look about it's an important game for every LGBTQ+ member

I know what to say. 👌 good soup.

bruh this game is so good istg

i like this game a normal amount👍

no like this is actually very normal it's just soooo good

exactly 1000 hours or does the counter round it up? anyway you must have left the game running while you were doing other things... for more than a month

Really cute and fun! Love it ^_^

This is undeniably in my top 3 favorite games ever, i got so invested in it, i absolutely love the dynamics and different styles of the characters, I've loved the way min was from the start and i am so insanely happy that i had the opportunity to play this. The dialogue being funny, relatable and sweet with other themes, the fact that it's lesbian (mostly, ik one is bi :3) makes everything so much more better too because i am one and i feel really connected to many aspects of the game. In conclusion, thank you so much for creating this. i won't stop playing it, I'll keep coming back to it, i love it so much. The references and jokes, the way the characters behave and talk, it feels so real and I'm honestly in love with it all, you did an amazing job, it caused me the best crying and laughter I've had in a long, long time <3 :3

I dont understand anything about baseball, but i still love this game anyways

This turned out to be the most emotionally invested i ever got in a video game. I'm infinitely grateful that this exists. Diya, Min, Noelle and Akarsha are the greatest characters, i truly fell in love with everything the two games have to offer. It stirred my heart in the best way possible and made emotions burst out of my chest in a way nothing else did up until now !!

I commented on the this game like a year ago and i'm back, this is like my 7th time replaying this game and it never gets dull!

i relate to akarsha so much its insane..

This game is awesome!  I like the plot and the characters are cute too, I will love and remember this game forever<3

This is one of the greatest things on the internet, perhaps only superseded by Katawa Shoujo, and I'm really trying to say something there. The thing I value most about a piece of media is its ability to capture and distill life, and Butterfly Soup meets my one criteria with flying colors. When you can laugh and cry for something, I think that's reason to hold it in high esteem. Please fucking play this game. It's like—the best. Just do it, you won't regret it. Especially if you're a highschooler. And hella gay.

This game is soo fun and good!!!!! 10/10, I first started playing when it was 2020 and immediately fell in love. I love the characters artstyle, humor and just the entiiiiiire game. I'm in love with the sequel too because im a big pee pee ketchup man enthusiast. THANK YOU BRIANNA LEI FOR THIA MASTERPIECE !!11!1!!1!

This game was sooooo good :D

I love it!!! Definitely gonna be one of my comfort games. Thank you so much to everyone who worked hard for this masterpiece <3

I still can't figure out what the author did to make me laugh at every line until I couldn't catch my breath... (LOVE this game)

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3

10/10 this game was amazing! I would most definitely stay up until 2:00 in the morning playing it again

really fun VN! reminded me of when i was in school still, very accurate dialogue. -2 for weird jab at communism, ig they are high schoolers tho so they can't be perfect. i chalked it up to american propaganda and still enjoyed the rest of the game

played this a few months back, as till today i still find myself replaying this.

this is a fucking masterpiece, 3 hours felt so fast...all characters felt like actual people and not just people held by gunpoint repeating a script. i loved everyone especially akarsha,  a few of her scenes hit way too close for comfort. loved the ace attorney reference i rolled on the floor cackling over this for 10 minutes straight. stan the semes. 11/10 best visual novel ever i might get an akarsha plush

I loved every second of this, thank-you so much for making it! It’s so immensely heartwarming, real, and absolutely hilarious. The scene in the café at the end will forever fill my heart with joy. <3 I actually just finished the also amazing sequel and will post more thoughts there!
