The plot was amazing, I am in love with all the characters, I love the story! There were lots of parts in each story I laughed at. I love this game! It has diversity, LGBTQ+ representation, Humor, Development, Perspective.. The art was amazing as well!

This is truly one of the best games ever made. The writing is some of the best ever. The comedic writing probably IS the best ever. The characters, the pacing, it's all amazingly well done. If you haven't played this you just should stop whatever you're playing and play it now. It's incredible.
This game has been living in my head rent-free ever since I played it a couple months ago. It's just so charming, delightful, and relatable as heck, being a Chinese adoptee and gay. While I grew up in a predominantly white neighborhood, most of my friends were Asian, so this reminded me of my friend group in some ways that are really nostalgic too. I can't sing my praises enough and how much Butterfly Soup means to me -- thank you for making this beautiful gem!
It seems the yearly 100$ fee to “notarize” (see the Jan 02 dev log “Mac version is now notarized for Catalina”) the app may not have been payed (or something else, it just coincides with the new year and is the same time Brianna sent out the dev log on this last year…).

This is a must play, it is funny, happy and very well done. It is the highest ranked game on itch for a reason. I personally never play visual novels and don’t like them, with the exception of butterfly soup, it is so good that you don’t even need to like the game genre to like the game.

Very well written game. The characters are awesome and also extremely well written, and i love the way all the characters bounce of each other. This is one of the best LGBT visual novels i have ever played. It also made baseball sound fun , and i hate all sport.
Brianna , you deserve all the praise you get and more. Will definitely play the sequel , if its paid or free. I am that invested.

Hey! I though about creating unofficial translations since Brianna seems to not be accepting any translations (from faq). I’ll just need to brush up on my Renpy, and we will need to find somewhere to host the translations and such.
Edit: Right, I have brushed up on renpy and think can use it again. Still need somewhere to host the translations and collaborate on them, I personally am thinking github since I know how it works and has what we need, but if anyone knows something better, do tell.
Github sounds good enough for something like this, all things considered, and if you're familiar with it even better because besides from using the web, I dunno much about managing a project in there.
I tried to build a translation myself, and after a while somehow managed to do little before it crashed, so if you can take care of that part I can work with the translation scripts.
