Could you please upload the previous files 

you've made? The app keeps closing on me during game play. My device is using Android 11.

Hello! I’ve done so. Could you upload (to e.g. https://paste.debian.net) the file log.txt from Android > data > com.briannalee.butterflysoup > files before you install and use any older version? It may help me figure out what is wrong.

There's no available folder of such name in my device. Tried browsing around and can't find anything. The app is installed. It opens, allows me to choose the language and will suddenly stop when I start the visual novel.

Okay, I'm done installing and trying all versions. All of them won't work properly in Android 11, but they work just fine in older Android versions.

Hmm. What ROM/Phone do you use?

Maybe a logcat would be good, or a debugging version, though I am away from my desktop so I can’t do that right now.

Min taught me how to say I love you and said that it meant hi I can't this game is awesome wdhishdeuwijs   I'm not very far in and it's only my first time playing but I've seen this game recommended a few times and it's already pretty nice!

Edit: Ok so I finished the game and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. My first impressions were right. It the cutest and greatest thing.

This game is amazing and all but I wish that you could spend more time on the relationship like more making out scenes. Maybe you can have more senses of actually being together and you can show min finally standing up to her parents..

Glad you like it. Although I did not make it, I simply created an Android version as well as Web version.

maybe make sure the port isn't assuming the existence of any Google Play Services, could be why it isn't working on Amazon devices. also not working my device, which is not Amazon device but doesn't have Google Play Services.

I know it is not. I do not use GPS or any other type of Google stuff or implementations of Google stuff on my phone, which is the one that I took pictures of.

Hello, I insalled the betabuild 4 (and later uninstalled and installed betabuild3) onto my Amazon Fire HD 8, but both builds had the same problem that another user mentioned of hanging on the loading screen, going to black, and then crashing back to the home screen. I tried closing the app and opening it again, but there was no luck. It's most likely just the hardware I'm trying to run it on as an Amazon Fire is not a native Android device. But if there is someway to resolve this and make a build playable on the Amazon Fire (or if you know of anything I could do on my end that would fix the issue), I would be very appreciative. Thanks in advance. And thanks for your hard work of porting a great game!

Under Android > data > com.briannalee.butterflysoup > files you should see a log.txt, could you provide me with that? It may help me with finding what is wrong.

Here's a copy of what the log file said. As far as I can tell, it appears to have had a loading error, an ImportError for the _renpysteam module, and an error when trying to open the game in fullscreen. I hope this helps!

I get an error for renpysteam as well, however mine works. Seems the problem is with the screen, or drawing to it or something.

I’m currently away from my development computer, I will have a debug version ready as soon as I can.

Alright. I have created the debug builds.

They are named com….debug.apk. Please uninstall the game before installing any of the debug versions to ensure it is a clean slate.

If it crashes please get a copy of the log.txt and traceback.txt (in the above mentioned folder) before starting the game again.

I can replicate it to some extent on my phone too.. It’s a little wonky. I’ll upload the old betarelease 3, which I know works.

Game doesn't run on my phone :(

Any errors? Could you describe the problem?

Not sure if an error, exactly. Game just hangs on initial loading screen for a bit, then black screens and app closes.
This is on a Pixel 3a running Android 11.

What happens if you go back into the game? I had something similar (Pixel 4 Android 11), where it would go black and just hang, closing and opening worked.

It does the same thing I described no matter how many times I open it. I've also tried clearing storage and cache too, fwiw.
