I love this game a lot, it's beautiful and funny and sweet and it made me cry. 13/10, would recommend to everyone.

wow! this is the best visual novel and indie  game I've ever played.

its funny. the plot is great. and you see it from different points of view.

amazing art style. great music, even interface is good and original.

I love how you showed the whole story of relations between all 4 main character (especially between the 2 most important) - from childhood to "future"

dialogues are very good. characters have their own, very different personalities 

i really can't say enough to discribe how great is this game :D

Words cannot amount to the brilliance and beauty of this game! This game cured my depression and made me feel better about having to transition into being an adult. It's made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time and I thank you for it! For anyone who's thinking of playing it, do it! The art, story, characters, music, and sounds are amazing. Thank you for creating such a great game!

i played this all night last night and i'm still sobbing. it was so cute omg i related to the characters so much. this game honestly just made me so happy and i'm definitely gonna recommend it to everyone i know. i just,,,, words can't describe how much i love this game

This is literally the best thing I've ever played. Everything is so cute and it warms my heart. I swear I am all four of them, personally. Some of it was really real and hit home, and I can honestly relate to it so much.

Wow this really gave me hope.

So many aspects of Butterfly Soup really hit home, and the love story was so touching. The only problem that I had with it was that it was too damn short.

Hi, I made an account because I absolutely had to thank you for this story.

This week's been a long, heavy depressive mood for me;  it's my first holidays since accepting myself and coming out, and my family hasn't been the most understanding.  I already had Butterfly Soup on my computer thanks to Simone's top 5 on Polygon.  I'm so glad I built up the motivation to read it today.

You had me laughing again in minutes.  It felt magical how much I resonated with your characters, especially Diya.  I've literally done the apple core thing!  I'm not sure how much of Diya's social struggles you attribute to her partial deafness, but for mine it was undiagnosed ADHD.  Difficulties with socializing can really fuck a kid up.

The message at the end really touched me, and as of now I don't feel a hint of depression weighing me down!  So again, thank you for lifting up this gay girl's heart! <3

I absolutely loved it and can't wait to see what you do next!

BUG REPORT?

Love the game, and I'm about 30 minutes in.  Ran into a screen resolution problem.  Everything worked fine, until I changed to fullscreen, closed the program, and then restarted the program.  Now in either window or fullscreen, it fills only half of the screen.  I'm using a 1080 laptop, with hdmi to a 720 tv.  From the log file:

primary display bounds: (0, 0, 1920, 1080)
Windowed mode.
Screen sizes: virtual=(1366, 768) physical=(1740, 978) drawable=(1740, 978)

I just want to thank Brianna for making such an absoultely wonderful game. The way it balanced light hearted humour with deeply emotional scenes made this an entertaining story from start to finish. I've been really struggling with writer's block for months now but playing this reminded and inspired me of the power that stories can have. The ending genuinely brought me to tears, I was expected the message of the story to be heart warming but a little cheesey when in actuality it struck a little too close to home. The words felt so genuine and I think its something a lot of queer women feel they needed to hear. I'm still pretty emotional as I'm writing this, but I cannot stress enough how greateful I am that this exists. I can't wait to play it over and over again forever. Thank you so much for creating something truly special.

This is too fckin adorable!!!! I love it. The characters are fun and sweet and I find myself grinning constantly. Gameplay is fun too! 

I loved playing through this so much, it was really super sweet!

Just one thing though, would a content warning for period blood be able to be added?  It would just have been nice to have a heads up for that scene, though I understand it doesn't really fit with the other warnings you have there.

This is seriously the best visual novel I have played in a long time. That includes compared to visual novels on steam that are $10+. All the characters were so damn likeable the dialogue is hilarious and the girl love in it is very sweet and believable. I can't give this visual novel enough praise. I was blown away :3 I hope you guys make more games like this.

This game made me so happy?? I played this all in one go, and messaged my friends about it the whole time. We're gonna get together later, and then I get to watch them play it. Also, I'm going to start saying that one line all the time. "I make gay jokes because I am a gay joke." Gold.

Meems are, sometimes, a bit old (but I can understand because the story is on 2004 ish?)

So much of this game resonated with me and the ending lines were probably some of the most uplifting things I've ever read.
